World Laughter DayDid you know that World Laughter Day was created in 1998 by the Founder of Laughter Yoga, Dr. Madan Kataria? It is celebrated on the 1st Sunday of May every year. The purpose of this international holiday is to “build global awareness of health, happiness and world peace through the daily practice of Laughter Yoga.” Read Dr. Madan Kataria’s special message for 2022 here.

Sound Healing Music Playlist

Each time I create a new Guided Laughter Meditation, Affirmations Mediation or EFT Tapping Laughter Meditation,ย  I compose music to sonically reinforce the message.ย  I integrate sound healing, like brainwave entrainment (binaural beats and monaural beats), for a holistic approach to the meditative experience. In doing so, a collection of instrumentals has accumulated. These can be utilized for meditation, yoga, studying, focusing on work, or relaxation.

Guided Laughter Meditation: Gamma Clarity and Joy

Joyful laughter immediately produces the same brain wave frequencies experienced by people in a true meditative state.

Laughter produces gamma brain wave frequencies! Isn’t that amazing?!!

Utilizing that fact, this Guided Laughter Meditation combines specific monaural gamma frequencies (30 to 100 Hz) for brainwave entrainment with laughter to help create a state of clarity and joy.

If you’re interested, you can download the meditation on Bandcamp. It includes versions with monaural beats and binaural beats, as well as instrumentals. It will be available everywhere (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) on July 9, 2021.

2021 04-07 Slash-Coleman-Laughter-Yoga-Addiction-MasterclassApril 7

US Laughter Ambassador and Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher Slash Coleman, MAed will be teaching a masterclass on addiction and Laughter Yoga entitled โ€œRedefining Addiction & Recovery Through Laughter Yoga.โ€ The class will take place on Wednesday, April 7th from 6:00- 7:30 PM EST (USA).

The introductory webinar will detail Slash’s Laughter Yoga work in addiction and recovery treatment centers over the past 2 years and his field-tests with the US Department of Veterans Affairs for a specific Laughter Yoga sequence which benefits those suffering from addiction.

The 90-minute class will be taught online via Zoom and hosted by the Master Center for Addiction Medicine. The class is part of a series of Laughter Yoga workshops to benefit Laughter Yoga USA.

Laughter Yoga professionals and those working in the field of addiction are asked to contribute US$25. All other participants including those who suffer from substance and activity addictions may attend the webinar at no cost. No prior yoga or recovery experience, special clothing or equipment is necessary.

We accomplish this through a series of simple exercises (clapping, breathing, affirmations, and laughter) that will leave you feeling great, thanks to the D.O.S.E. of dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphins we generate!
