Have you been laughing more? I found this wonderful quote in Jagat Singh Bisht’s new book “Cultivating Happiness: A Guide to Practices that Do Wonders.” In the book, Jagat outlines “twelve sets of proven practices that are known to bring health, happiness and peace.” Jagat and his wife Radhika are Certified Laughter Yoga Master Trainers, so you KNOW that Laughter Yoga is one of the twelve practices. They are also the founders of LifeSkills, have an inspiring YouTube channel AND are delightful people. I’m totally looking forward to reading this book!

Have you tried a Laughermations Session? Laughermations combines Laughter Yoga and Affirmations. We start each exercise with deep breathing and saying an affirmation 3 times out loud. Then we do a corresponding Laughter Yoga exercise while keeping the statement in mind. The more you feel and connect to each statement, the more rooted they will be become. You can build and strengthen a positive, resilient mental state.

Laugh Pact: Celebrate Life

Dear Laugh Pact Friends,

On December 3rd, my dad died from COVID-19 complications. While my heart is very heavy, I’m happy to share that I managed to record a Laughter Yoga Session yesterday. I haven’t laughed this much for quite a while and I must admit: it felt great! This one is dedicated to my dad. I picked exercises in honor of him. It’s a different, quite personal approach to Laughter Yoga… I really hope you like it.

Laughter Yoga Session: Celebrate Life will go public on Friday, December 18th. I’m sharing it with you now as a thank you for your support.

I plan to take some time for grieving and to celebrate the holidays, so my video schedule will still be irregular. I’ll send the next Laugh Pact List email in January. Thank you so much for your patience with me.

Laugh Pact: Personal Update

Dear Laugh Pact Friends,

This message is a day early because I have a moment right now… I have a very personal update to share with you… I don’t think I’ll be able to maintain my regular video schedule for a little bit. My dad was diagnosed with Covid-19. He’s in the hospital ICU now. His health is declining.

I recorded this Coherent Breathing video when my dad was stable… and I’m happy to share it with you.

I won’t have a video to share on Friday… maybe next week. I’ll try. This is definitely a test for my laughter practice… I don’t know if I can bear a Laughter Yoga session right now… I have continued pranayama. I also find playing and writing music helpful right now. It feels right. My dad has always supported and enjoyed my music.
